In our midst are a number of remarkable women without whom our community cannot survive. They are in some instances the support structure for farmers, are farmers themselves, earn additional income to support families or commit to serving the community. Each one of them uses their skills to actively build and sustain our community. Without them our economy will not thrive, our society will not be well and as a whole, we will suffer.
We salute these women for there dedication to our community. Amongst them are farmers, business owners, mothers, accountants, artists and more. None of them poses in designer clothes on the pages of high street journals, most you will find in gumboots, doing hard work many men will shy away from! They are strong in all aspects, yet they are soft, loving gentle.
