Water storage for health and hygiene

Good health and hygiene: The value of quality water storage.

In the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, good hygiene and proper handwashing is essential to stay safe and healthy.

This, however, is not possible without water.

Your 2400 litre JoJo tank is a wonderful tool to help ensure that your household always has access to this vital resource.

Municipal backup & rainwater harvesting:

Because your tank can be used to collect rainwater and as municipal backup, you can rest assured that you will not be without water during water cuts and water restrictions.

Each 2400 litre JoJo tank holds enough water for a family of four to get at least 13 handwashes per person, per month. This goes a long way in keeping your loved ones protected against germs - especially when your normal water supply is down or restricted.

Important note: if in emergencies you need drinking water from the tank, the water must first be purified by boiling it for a minimum of one minute.

Tip: to save water, turn off the tap while scrubbing your hands with soap

Staying safe while saving money

While regular handwashing is always important, most of us are washing our hands even more frequently and for longer, in order to protect ourselves against Covid-19.

This, of course, results in a higher water bill.

As mentioned, a JoJo tank full of stored water ensures that you have a steady supply during water outages, saving you money by preventing you from having to purchase water elsewhere.

Using your tank to collect rainwater can save you even more cash, as rainwater is absolutely free. Just make sure to purify this water before using it inside the home for washing and drinking purposes. Scrub your hands in 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Wet hands with running water

Step 2: Apply enough soap to cover both hands

Step 3: Scrub all surfaces of the hands, including back of hands, between fingers and under nails, for at least 20 seconds.

Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with running water

Step 5: Dry hands with a clean cloth or single-use towel
