Month In Review: August Edition
August has been a busy month for M+S Designs. Hard work, growth and a whole new look. If you’ve passed by or popped into our workshop recently, you may have noticed our new colours and our bigger space.
Let’s chat about some of the things we’ve been doing with that space...
Our new larger space has been utilised for our solid wood workshop where our skilled craftsmen produce M+S Designs and our newly acquired Pieter Deon Designs range of beds, pedestals, headboards, plasma units, sideboards, etc. To see our product range, please see our Facebook albums. Our official catalogue will be releasing soon.
We thought that by taking over this larger workshop we would have plenty of space, it just so happens that this space still was not large enough and we have had to expand even more and now we also have a smaller workshop for our board shop where we cut boards with our panel saw and supply cabinetry for the local carpenters.
As mentioned in the previous blog post, we are now selling some of the aforementioned Pieter Deon Designs products on the new local online market - Fynbos Market. We’d love to see this sweet initiative thrive and would encourage the Overberg community to visit the site. We would also like to encourage other local business owners to join as vendors. The more we support each other, the better this opportunity could serve everyone.
At M+S Designs we embrace our wonderful community which is at the heart of what we do, so not only are we encouraging locals and local businesses to try out Fynbos Market, but we would also like to celebrate the members of our community. Last month we shone a light on Bruce, a service provider of ours who spent many hours of his own time creating these videos for us: see here & here. How talented is he! We’d love to celebrate more of you so please feel free to share photos of work we’ve done for you and be sure to tag us on Facebook or Instagram to be featured in our community highlights and blog posts.
