“My wife and I recently flew down to the coast for a mid-year break and stayed at Stanford’s Cove Villa. Coming from Johannesburg, we decided to make the most of being at the ocean by eating as much fresh seafood as possible during the stay.
Both of us have a soft spot for calamari and decided to try it whenever we went out for a meal. So, when we weren’t having a fish braai at the villa we were out exploring the area and eating what we both agreed was the best calamari in Gansbaai, and quite arguably the world. We ate the best calamari in Gansbaai at local pubs, restaurants and even tried the takeaway shops. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to compile a list of our favourites.
