M+S Designs

New Owners of the Board Shop Division

In January 2018 M+S Designs was born from the vision of Shirley and Mark to put together their talents and experience as designers and crafters. The vision took off and became a little business that had M+S Designs moving from a garage at home to a small factory in the Industrial area, where Your Ideas become Our Creations. Over time and through the sad demise of a Gansbaai icon, Overberg Boards; we received more and more enquiries for a board cutting service and also a kitchen and BIC supplier. This was a business that we knew little about when we took on the beast, but with the support of many contractors, suppliers and our valued customers, we were able to grow from strength to strength and develop our brand further and include the cutting service division as well as design of BIC and Kitchens for installation. Braam was then employed by us to assist with this division.

The time has, however arrived for M+S Designs to concentrate our focus on what we believe to be our core business, which is the design, manufacture and creation of solid wood furniture including decorative pieces. We will remain where we are and continue to create Your Ideas in our larger workshop. In order to achieve this; we have made the difficult decision to sell our Board Shop and board cutting division. The new owners are Braam and Rensia Rousseau, who have many years experience working together in the cabinetry industry and also bring their own very special unique touches to kitchen design and cupboard space utilisation to the market. The new Board Shop will also remain at the same address and can be contacted on 065 328 9626.

Eric who worked for M+S Designs for 2 and 1/2 years has also moved across to be Braam’s assistant at Gansbaai Boards. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank Eric for his loyalty and service at M+S Designs and wish him all the very best at Gansbaai Boards.

We thank all our wonderful customers and friends that we have made over the years who have helped us to build our Board Shop to become a known name in Gansbaai and even further afield. We ask that this support carries on to Gansbaai Boards with Braam and Rensia. Expect to see more installations from them as well as the cutting and edging services that were available from M+S Designs Board Shop Division.
