Wella Professionals’ Destination 2025 in Malta (29 April - 2 May) brought the global Wella family together for a few unforgettable days - and glamorous nights.
Set against the breathtaking coastal backdrop of St. Julian’s, the event welcomed over 1,000 hairdressers, influencers, and ambassadors from 52 countries, all united by a shared passion for creativity, connection, and craft.
Melody Dean in the Global Spotlight
Let’s be honest. The spotlight doesn’t just follow Visions Styl’n Chic’s Melody Dean, it chases her. And, at Destination 2025, one of Gansbaai’s most-loved hairstylists was, once again, in the thick of the magic.
We caught up with Melody to hear more about her latest hairventure, and what this experience meant to her.
Melody Goes to Malta: Wella Family Reunion!
Melody described the Destination 2025 event as a high-energy whirlwind, where every moment brought something new to learn, someone new to meet, or something incredible to experience. From energising seminars to glittering gala evenings, she soaked up every second in Malta, with her fellow visionary artists who attended from all over the world.
In Melody’s own words: “It’s one thing to be part of something this big, but it’s another to connect with such a diverse, talented group of artists pushing the boundaries of the craft. This experience has been a turning point for me, and I’m beyond grateful for the chance to grow, learn, and be surrounded by such incredible talent. To everyone I met along the way, thank you for the inspiration and support. This journey is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Celebration: A Glittering Gala Evening
One of the highlights of Destination 2025 was a special celebration honouring the talented winners of the prestigious International TrendVision Awards for 2023 and 2024.
Melody was up there waving the South African flag, representing her 2023 TrendVision National Gold Trophy for Craft Visionary.
The evening was nothing short of electric - emotional, uplifting, and beautifully put together. A dream come true, and a moment she won’t forget any time soon.
