NEWS: Spring is in the Air!
The word on everybody’s lips this week is of course, Spring! The glorious season we have been waiting for so long has finally arrived! The temperatures are still just below 20°C, but it would seem that most of the rain has dissipated for now. Tuesday seems to hold a final Monkey’s Wedding in store for us, but the worst after that will be a cloudy day.
Also feeling the spirit of Spring, the baby Eastern Black Rhino that was born last week, was in fact the second baby rhino born in the month of August. August 17th saw the birth of another baby boy Eastern Black Rhino born at the Atlanta Zoo.
Both births are widely celebrated as these beautiful, yet critically endangered animals are in desperate need of numbers. This has been a very good year so far for zoo babies and we hope that the reports of endangered species additions continue.
