Owner Marina Clarke has been treating Gansbaai locals to delicious meals since 1993 when she opened Gansbaai’s legendary Ciro’s restaurant. Her love for cooking goes back her childhood when she spent hours in the kitchen cooking with her mother. The influence of traditional South African cooking is still evident, with menu items such a roast lamb and patat a firm favourite with locals. Apart from homestyle cooking, Marina also serves delicious pasta dishes, having learned to cook authentic Italian food from Italians.
A range of casserole dishes can be ordered for functions of 12 to 80 people. The dishes are specially prepared to suit any taste or budget. Simply contact Marina to discuss options. Dietary requirements can be accommodated, so be sure to mention these upfront.
The function venue has a cosy home atmosphere and offers the perfect space in which to entertain groups of between 12 and 40 people. Venue hire is not charged for and the menu is designed with the client’s needs in mind. Menu options range from finger foods to hearty three-course meals, to suit every taste and budget. Dietary requirements can be accommodated, so be sure to mention these upfront. The function venue is fully licensed, but clients are welcome to bring their own wine and pay a corkage fee.
