When one of Gansbaai’s beloved matriarchs, long-time restauranteur Rosemary Truter decided to retire after many years of running another top Gansbaai restaurant, Rosemary’s Country Kitchen, the couple saw the opportunity for another venture.
After careful consideration and intensive meetings with Rosemary about how she would like her legacy continued, total refurbishment of the interior and some delicious twists to the already superb menu, Rosemary’s Country Kitchen opened to rave reviews in February 2022.
Rosemary is still the heart of the country kitchen experience. When she isn’t taking a well-deserved break in her boudoir, you can find her enjoying breakfast in the restaurant each morning and pottering about in the magnificent garden on sunny days.
