Our Showcase at the Stanford Festival
What a wonderful festival we had over the weekend...
This newsletter is more of a thank you letter this time, expressing our appreciation for the support we received making this a wonderful event.
Our thank you-s for making the Creative Skills Factory showcase of the children's work in our groups through the year - really uplifting, inspirational and just lovely, and certainly enjoyed by everyone in the audience.
Thank you to our team; our wonderful drama teacher, Raine Waring and her gifted team of facilitators all the way from Cape Town, Kudakwashe Kangombe, Andrew van Diemen and Gershan Lombard, thank you.
To our music teacher, mentor and friend, Manuel Jardine, the children in the music groups have blossomed and grown with your care and kindness, thank you so much.
And our artist mentors, Antje Shoan and Tracy Algar, for the magnificent art created by the children under your guidance.
Facilitation of beautiful art, music, movement and drama - culminating in an amazing performance at the annual Stanford Festival of Community Arts.
Thank you to Rotary Stanford for the soup ingredients for the children in the Creative Skills Factory School Holiday Programme and to our Learning Tree team for your hard work during the holidays, making delicious soup for everyone and painting the beautiful backdrop for the drama performance.

Our approach is a creative and therapeutic one, and it's always about the process and the children's growth and enjoyment... not about the outcome.
However, we loved watching the children's performance and hope that they feel very proud of how well they did and enjoyed the day.
