Die tradisie van ‘n jaarlikse Verjaardagkoek aan Gansbaai Munisipaliteit is getrou deur Gilbert (Boetie) Hart voortgesit.

Agtien jaar gelede, 9 September 1999, het Gansbaai se munisipale personeel ingetrek en op daardie dag het Boetie belowe om jaarliks ‘n twee-laag verjaardagkoek, met Overstrand Munisipaliteit se embleem daarop versier, as verjaardaggeskenk aan mnr Kat Myburgh, Areabestuurder van die Overstrandse Munisipaliteit se Gansbaai Administrasie, te stuur - ‘n belofte wat hy ná agtien jaar steeds  steeds onderhou.

Gilbert (Boetie) Hart se agtiende verjaardagkoek aan Gansbaai Munisipaliteit. Voor hou mnr Kat Myburgh en Tanya Smit die verjaardagkoek vas. Agter vlnr Annelie Lourens, Carol Devitt, Sanet Otto, Junita Booker, Louise Groenewald, Annemien van der Merwe, Vanessa Ventura, Marissa Radyn en Philip Fourie. Gansbaai_Courant
