Behind Elite Fires & Shutters is Cornè Engelbrecht, whose journey in the home improvement industry started back in 2007.
While working alongside her sister in an interior decorating business, Cornè gained experience in interior decorating and developed a real passion for transforming spaces. Her natural eye for design and love for working with blank spaces soon grew into something bigger.
Fireplaces and braais became a natural addition to her work with blinds and shutters, while security solutions completed the picture. In 2014, Elite Fires & Shutters was established with the vision of bringing these different aspects of home improvement together under one roof.
Today, the business offers window dressings, security solutions, fireplaces, braais, installation and maintenance, giving clients the convenience of having it all in one place.
After a rebrand in 2026, Elite Fires & Shutters continues to build on the experience and knowledge that started it all.
For Cornè, it’s not just about the products. It’s about finding practical solutions that suit each home and helping clients through the process from start to finish.
And when the workday is over? You’ll often find Cornè enjoying the outdoors, spending time in nature or walking the beach paths around Gansbaai.
