Gansbaai Courant published various articles about Gansbaai Academia’s four money earners over the past few weeks.
Jacques Prins, Heinrich van der Merwe, André Lourens and Llewellyn Davids excelled in the JSE/Liberty Life Investment Challenge and flew to Johannesburg to receive their Stock Exchange vouchers to the value of R1 000 each.
These four young men left for Johannesburg from Cape Town Airport on the 21st of October, accompanied by their mentor Mr Wilton Phillips.
The team was amazed by the five star event put together for the young ‘money ear-ners’ at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
They shared a table with the learners of the Domino Servite School and rubbed shoulders with highly placed business men and celebrities.
They were honored to meet the CEO of the JSE and well known Gansbaai Academia celebrity, Xolani Mbeki joined them at their table. Xolani recently donated 200 pairs of shoes to the Academia learners.
For the five learners the cherry on top was the dride back to the airport in Africa’s fastest train – the Gautrain.
The British Airways flight back to Cape Town, was however a bit rough and bumpy with the stormy weather conditions the country experienced last week.
The boys are back safe and as boys will be boys, they can not speak enough of the beautiful cars they saw in Gauteng.
