The December holidays are here at last. It is time to breath sea air, soak up the sun and enjoy the powder soft, white beach at the pearl of the Overstrand, the oh, so popular Pearly Beach, a beautiful village approximately 23km beyond Gansbaai.
The Pearly Beach Ratepayers’ Association Management Committee is a dedicated group of residents who are committed to and love their village. They do their utmost to make sure that the surroundings are clean and safe to fulfil any holiday maker’s dream.
They recently had their meeting, a champagne breakfast, at Suzette Newlands’ beautiful Pearly Shells Guest House.
The association’s chairperson, Shirley Coetzee, this week said that the village had faced many challenges these past few months.
“I am personally grateful to the management committee of our association for their outstanding teamwork and commitment.
To Alderman Dudley Coetzee, a special word of thanks for his much needed support.”
Coetzee said that she extends the Association’s heartfelt thanks to the Overstrand Municipality for the maintenance work provided throughout the year.
Coetzee added that apart from beautiful beaches, holiday makers can prepare themselves for The Pearly Beach Affaire on the village green on 20 December. It is an annual community-oriented food, wine and crafts market.
A Christmas Celebration will be held at the same venue on 22 December at 19:30 for 19:45.
“Please join us as we celebrate in music and song, the birth and coming to earth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”
The Pearly Beach Rate-payers’ Association’s annual general meeting will take place at the Pearly Beach Angling Club on Thursday, 5 January 2017 at 10:00.
