Daar was Saterdag ‘n stofstreep op die pad na Lomond wynlandgoed. Besoekers van heinde en ver het die pragtige somerdag benut om die eerste dag van dié landgoed se Oesfeesweek te gaan geniet.
Net ‘n entjie verder aan, by die Grootbos privaat natuurreservaat, het sowat 600 vrywilligers vanoor die hele wêreld 8000 inheemse bome geplant. Dit was deel van die organisasie GreenPop se woudhervestigingsprojek.
