Denton Bauermeister het sy eerste dag as nuwe klublid van die Pearly Beach Hengelklub uitstekend begin, deurdat hy ‘n vol kwota kabeljou en galjoen, die swaarste sak van 23 kg en ‘n eerste plek ingepalm het.

André Kotze was tweede met onder andere die grootste kabeljou van 12,7 kg wat vanjaar uitgetrek is.

Cobus Uys was derde. Hy wen ook die Senior afdeling.

Nog ‘n nuwe lid, Ronnie Blake, eindig vierde.  Hy word gevolg deur Deon Strydom en Hannes Smuts, Gideon Joubert (wen ook Veterane kompetisie) en Jaron Pratt, Barry Muller en Wikkie van Dyk. 

Rossouw Munnik wen die Dory-prys vir Maart.

Dit lyk asof kerrievis op ‘special’ gaan wees vir  Paasnaweek, want uit die 85 inskrywings het 23 hengelaars 44 visse ingeweeg met ‘n totale massa van 119,45kg.

Die jaarlikse Interklubkompetisie vind op 22 April plaas.
