To get to Franskraal follow the directions from Hermanus to Gansbaai along the scenic R43 towards Cape Agulhas.

Also known as Frikkie se Baai, the history of Franskraal dates back to 1806 when one Frederick Andrews, who picked guano at Dyers Island, lived in a shack in one of the sheltered bays. Part of the original cottage was incorporated into a museum building that can still be seen at Blousloep.
